FAQ's
What is a Counselling Psychologist?
Counselling Psychologists use psychological theories and psychotherapeutic techniques to help individuals to cope with their emotional difficulties, life issues and challenging circumstances. Based on the initial assessment, the Counselling Psychologist will then create a bespoke therapy plan for the individual.
What should I expect in the initial assessment appointment?
I offer an initial 1 hour online assessment appointment. This will help us to explore your concerns and difficulties, the most appropriate form of treatment, and the duration and frequency of therapy.
There is no commitment to therapy at this stage. Should we agree to work together, we can discuss future arrangements for further therapy sessions.
How often are therapy sessions?
Following the initial assessment, I offer online therapy sessions on a weekly basis. Individual therapy sessions last for 50 minutes at a regular day and time. We can agree to short term, long term or open ended therapy.
What format are assessment and therapy sessions?
All assessments and therapy sessions are online via Zoom. If you have another preferred online platform, please contact me to discuss alternative options.
